EVERY FRIDAY 9:45am - 12:15pm MAY 01st - MAY 29th 2026 (5 Sessions) This special watercolour course will focus on learning the essential techniques to create beautiful botanical-themed paintings. We’ll explore how to paint leaves, flowers, branches, and natural details with softness, depth, and control. This class is perfect for anyone who: • Loves nature and plants • Enjoys observing fine details • Wants to develop patience and brush control • Is looking for a calm, mindful creative experience Beginners are absolutely welcome — no prior experience needed. You’ll be guided step by [IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ] Watercolor Class Materials List Students will need to bring their own watercolour paints, brushes, washing buckets or jars, mixing palette, and watercolour paper. If you don’t have these materials yet or prefer the convenience, a complete set will also be available for purchase from me. Please let me know in advance if you’d like to order one. I’ve done extensive research on the products available, balancing great performance with cost-efficiency. While art supplies can be pricey if purchased individually, I’ve put together a kit that reduces costs and ensures you’re equipped with everything you need for the class. What’s Included in The Kit 1. Paint: The key to vibrant, successful watercolour art is using artist-quality paint. For this class, we’ll use Holbein Artist Watercolor Paint, known for its excellent pigment quality and performance. I’ve prepared small palettes for just $20, which will last you through the term. 2. Brush Washer Bucket: A sturdy, multi-purpose water bucket for cleaning brushes for $10. 3. Palette: A mixing palette is an essential tool for blending colours effectively. Each kit includes a palette designed for easy mixing for $10. 3. Brushes: Brushes are essential tools for watercolor painting. You’ll receive TWO versatile brushes in different sizes, perfectly suited for this class, at a cost of $10. 4. Paper: High-quality watercolour paper is critical for achieving the best results. To ensure you’re using paper in optimal condition, I’ll provide it during each class session. This eliminates the risk of paper sizing (a protective gel layer on the paper) deteriorating, which can happen if stored improperly. The cost for the term’s paper is $10.
